Dr. Barrera performs most of his surgeries at his own Accredited Ambulatory Surgical Facility (AAAASF) within his office in Houston, utilizing IV sedation and local anesthesia for added safety and comfort. Dr. Barrera is absolutely one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. His artistry is matched by his beautiful soul; kind, generous with his time, ability to make you feel seen and heard while producing amazing results! When I first went in for a consultation, Dr Barrera greeted me with a smile, asked me to come into his office and pulled up a chair next to him! He showed me before and after results of his work, and it was amazing. Dr. Barrera uses a technique that he developed (and teaches other plastic surgeons how to do). The results shown of side by side patients were amazing! Dr Barrera explained what he would do and said the procedure would be painless with little down time. He was correct! I had the neck lift done, and after one week I no longer had to wear a bandage during the day-after that I wore a bandage only at night. After two weeks the results were amazing and stitches were removed. I love, love, love the results! There are no scars and I have received so many compliments on how I “look fresher and happy.” The results were dramatic but not extreme; I just look like I did 15 years ago but not as though I had work done! Not only is Dr. Barrera a kind and gentle Doctor, but his office staff are a reflection of him; they too are kind and understanding. For those of you who are afraid of “going under the knife,” Dr. Barrera uses a twilight anesthesia. His surgery is done in his office, and there was no pain-all I used after the procedure was Tylenol! I cannot stress how pleased I am with Dr Barrera and the results of his procedure, but also how lovely and kind both Dr. Barrera and his staff are…one of the best decisions I have ever made. Thank you Dr. Barrera for taking me on as your patient.

Dr. Barrera has the magic touch. I made the mistake of going to another plastic surgeon because I did not like the drive since I moved almost 2 hours away. Dr. Barrera initially did my breast implants, GREAT JOB! However, I waited too long to get them replaced , there was a small rupture and got them removed. My mistake is going to a different doctor. Nice guy, but I had a lot of issues after the removal of my implants and the lack of concern by the nurses in that office was very upsetting. I also had rhinoplasty there because I broke my nose in high school and had lots of difficulty breathing. I was not trying to change my nose, I just wanted to breathe better and it completely changed my face and I did not recognize myself. During the same procedure, fat was placed under my eyes to help the bags. Too much fat was placed and the fat really never dissolved and started looking lumpy. Needless to say, I will never return. Having said all that Dr. Barrera fixed my breasts, they are BEAUTIFUL! He did minor work on my nose and removed the fat and lumps from underneath my eyes. AND I FINALLY, AFTER 7 years, I RECOGNIZE THE GIRL IN THE MIRROR!!! THANK YOU DR. BARRERA! I am so grateful to you and your AMAZING and CARING staff! I will NEVER go anywhere else! Dr. Barrera you are FOREVER MY #1! Much love and admiration!

From the initial consultation appt w Dr. Barrera to the final check-up, each step of the procedure is flawless. His support team is so accommodating and friendly as well as helpful before, during n after procedure. Every question I had, and there were a lot, was answered and discussed. The surgery itself was painless and the recovery has been easy!! Dr. Barrera did a beautiful job, and I feel great!! Thank you❤️❤️❤️

In my past I worked with and assisted several plastic surgeons in Houston – non came even close to the quality of Dr. Barerra - who is both an artist and a phenomenal surgeon. It’s been over a month since my procedure and I could not be happier with the result. Dr. Barrera truly listened to what I wanted, rather than use a one-size-fits-all approach as other doctors seemed to. Use of IV sedation made the procedure easier than I could’ve imagined. His staff was also very pleasant and knowledgeable.
