Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozan Bitik

Hello, I am a plastic surgeon focusing on facial aesthetic surgery. I see my patients at my private practice in Ankara, and I perform my surgeries at private hospitals in Ankara with which I am affiliated, primarily at Bayındır Söğütözü Hospital. I began my early education in my hometown of Adana. I completed my middle and high school education at TED Ankara College. I started my medical education and career at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. After graduating from medical school in 2004, I immediately started my residency in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at the same university. After completing my residency in 2010, I pursued a fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, USA. During my time there, Cleveland Clinic was ranked as the 3rd best hospital in the USA. I can say that I deeply internalized the "Patients First" principle at this institution. During my fellowship, I received post-residency training across the entire spectrum of aesthetic surgery. I actively saw patients, performed surgeries, and took care of patients in the emergency room and post-operative intensive care units. During my fellowship, I had the opportunity to work under the mentorship of James Edward Zins, one of the leading figures in the world in facelift surgery, and to learn the deep plane anatomy of the face and deep plane facelift techniques from him. My work on the deep plane anatomy of the face received the Best Aesthetic Presentation Award at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Conference held in New Orleans in 2012. After my fellowship, I returned to Turkey and directed my professional work toward facial aesthetics. Between 2013 and 2017, I returned to the Department of Plastic Surgery at Hacettepe University, where I am proud to be an alumnus, as a faculty member. During the 4 years I spent as a faculty member, with the support of my colleagues and professors, I further matured in the profession. I became an Associate Professor in 2015. In addition to facial aesthetics, I also dealt intensively with the reconstructive side of plastic surgery, including microsurgery, hand surgery, and tumor surgery, as well as the training of residents and students during my time at the university. Due to the restrictions that my academic career placed on the time and energy I could dedicate to my primary interest in facial aesthetics and facial rejuvenation, I left Hacettepe University, where I worked with great pleasure, to open my private practice. In my ongoing academic career, I have published over 35 international scientific articles accepted by international indexes (SCI/SCIE). You can access these publications from the publications section on my website. Among these publications are surgical techniques first described in the medical literature in the fields of rhinoplasty and facial aesthetics. I conduct my scientific studies with a team with whom I worked together at the same university in the past and with whom we still "produce knowledge" in private practice. Scientific integrity is a non-negotiable principle in my practice. I believe that it is essential for a physician to follow and contribute to the scientific literature, regardless of the institution they work for. I do not perform any procedures in my clinical practice that are not supported by scientific data or have not passed through the filter of the literature. I write a web blog at www.yeniyuzyenihayat.com, which aims to inform the public about facial aesthetics. To my knowledge, it is one of the most comprehensive online resources written in Turkish in the field of facial aesthetics. Its content is becoming richer every day. The primary aim of both the blog and the website is to reach out to you and be accessible. For anything you want to consult me about facial aesthetics, you can reach me through my social media accounts, contact phone numbers, or directly as a guest at my practice. Appointment and Pricing Policy Dear friends, followers, and prospective patients, I am writing this post to inform you about the pre-surgery information and consultation processes. As you know, I am a plastic surgeon who only deals with facial aesthetic surgery. I can no longer deal with other areas of aesthetic or plastic surgery outside of facial aesthetics. For this reason, we cannot schedule consultation appointments in areas other than facial aesthetics. We also, unfortunately, cannot accept requests for preliminary consultations, information, or referrals in areas other than facial aesthetics. I observe with regret that there is a significant amount of misinformation about facial aesthetics and that people are losing their time, financial resources, and even their health in the grip of commercial, unscientific practices. As a solution to this problem, I created a blog on the internet called www.yeniyuzyenihayat.com, which may be the most comprehensive Turkish resource written in the field of facial aesthetics. As of the date of writing this article, there are more than 150 articles on the blog. It is an online resource almost the size of 3-4 books. You can benefit from this resource without any membership, subscription, or registration, and without being exposed to online ads or sponsored notifications. By taking the time to read, you can gain more comprehensive "general knowledge" than you would during a face-to-face consultation with me or another plastic surgeon. You can benefit from this online resource, which I created after four years of work and is visited by 50,000 people every month, free of charge. Especially with my patients who apply from abroad or out of town, I can conduct video "online" consultations via WhatsApp/Zoom. All my prospective patients can direct their questions to me via WhatsApp/Instagram that they cannot find answers to on the blog or that my assistants cannot answer on the phone. We do not charge for these online preliminary consultations. The next step that prospective patients interested in the treatments I offer should follow is a consultation. To obtain more information beyond the first two steps above, I need to examine you, see your face, touch you, get to know you, understand your expectations, create a personalized treatment plan, and then inform you according to this plan.
